Dr. Vanita Pathak Ray is an experienced, internationally-trained, skilled and a pioneering Ophthalmologist with an experience of +17 years.
She is an MBBS of University of Calcutta, India (1992). She then did three fellowships from London, Canada and Edinburgh. She even completed a specialist training at UK in 2006.
Dr. Ray is an expert at performing cataract surgeries and treating glaucoma. She is the first Indian glaucoma specialist to perform minimally invasive glaucoma surgery in angle closure disease (phaco-endocycloplasty); to use Kahook Dual Blade to perform trabeculotomy in adults and first to perform Aurolab Aqueous Drainage Implant (AADI) while at LV Prasad Eye Institute.
She has given several prize winning presentations and a surgery video show at the first-such GSI annual conference in India.
Dr. Ray has been invited as faculty to several national and international confernces and webinars.
She has been a reviewer for several prestigious national and international journals.
Dr. Ray has +50 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
