Dr. Ajit Babu Majji is a well-known and a leading Ophthalmologist with +26 years of experience.
He holds professional memberships of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Vitreous Society, Club Vit, All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS), DOS, Asia Pacific Society Of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and the Vitreo Retinal Society India (VRSI). Presently, he is the Chairman of the Academic Research Committee of the AIOS and the Vice–President of the VRSI.
Dr. Majji has did his MBBS in 1986 from Rangaraya Medical College, Kakinada and then did his MD in 1991 from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He also did a fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons, Glasgow. He then underwent training in vitreo retinal surgery at the R P Center, AIIMS, New Delhi and Wilmer Eye Institute, Baltimore, USA.
Dr. Majji is a specialist of retina & uvea services. He is particularly interested in, diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration. His scope of practice also includes treating myopia, uveal diseases, retinal diseases and vitreal diseases.
He has been invited as a guest faculty for over 275 national and international conferences.
Dr. Majji has published more +50 manuscripts in several peer-reviewed journals.
