Dr. Rajesh T R is a well-known Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon with 26+ years of experience.
He has performed over 5,000 cardiac operations and is adept at handling nearly the entire range of cardiac surgeries such as beating heart and on-pump CABG, valve repairs and replacements, aortic root surgeries, surgery for congenital heart diseases such as ASD, VSD, Tetralogy of Fallot, PDA, aortic co-arctation, etc.
He has the credit of being the first to implant the latest 3rd generation Artificial Heart in a patient with terminal Heart failure, for the first time in Asia.
He was honored with a special award for excellence in cardiac surgery by the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Sri Rosaiah, in 2010.
He was a key member of the team that performed the first successful Heart Transplant in Karnataka in 2008.
He did his MBBS from Government Medical College, Bellary, passing out in 1997, and did his post-graduation in General Surgery from Government Medical College, Mysore, bagging the Gold Medal from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in 2001.
He also obtained a DNB degree in General Surgery from the National Board of Examination, New Delhi, in 2002. 
He later joined the prestigious and illustrious Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital in Mumbai to train as a Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgeon.
He was chosen to train additionally in Heart Transplantation and Ventricular Assist Devices (Artificial Hearts) at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, USA, considered the Mecca of Cardiac Surgery.
He is a member of various reputed organizations, such as the Indian Association Of Cardiovascular And Thoracic Surgeons (IACTS).
