He has significant experience in harvesting Aortic and Pulmonary homografts from cadaver hearts.
He completed his MBBS from JJM Medical College, Davangere, and a Masters in General Surgery from Mysore Medical College.
He then had his cardiac surgical training from JIPMER, Pondicherry, from 2001 to 2004 and cleared the Diplomat of National Board Exam, DNB (Cardiothoracic Surgery) in 2004.
He received the Travelling Research Fellowship from Minneapolis Heart Institute, Minnesota, in 2008. He then went to The Heart Institute Vietnam for a specialized Training program in Mitral Valve Repairs in 2009.
He is a life member of the Indian Association of Cardiothoracic Surgeons and other such reputed organizations.
