In 1986, Dr. Xavier completed his MBBS from St. John's Medical College. In 1991, he did his MS from Kottyam Medical College, followed by a Master's degree in 1997 from Sri Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology. He also did an MBA from Sikkim Manipal University in 2011.
He is well-known for carrying out cardio-thoracic procedures such as, ASD repair, CABG (Redo), cardiac valve replacement, bypass surgery, heart double valve replacement, VSD closure/repair in adults, reconstructive microvascular surgery and cardiac ablation.
