Dr. Thoumumgkan graduated from Gauhati Medical College, Guwahati and then completed his MS from Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh. He then did his fellowship in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus from the Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai. He also did a fellowship from the All India Collegium of Ophthalmology in Lasik/refractive surgery.
He is an expert in pediatric/adult cataract surgery, refractive solutions (LASIK) for adults & children, strabismus (squint) and amblyopia management. He is particularly known for femto laser-assisted robotic eye surgery and phacoimulsification surgery(MICS). His other services include computer vision syndrome.
