HCG launched the first comprehensive cancer care centre in Visakhapatnam (Vizag) in association with Hospitals. HCG Cancer Centre, Vizag is located at the APIIC Health City in Chinagadilli, Visakhapatnam, and houses about 88 beds to provide comprehensive cancer care services. HCG Cancer Centre, Vizag is the only cancer care centre in Andhra Pradesh with a TrueBeam Installation. The hospital offers the latest technology in cancer care with a multi-disciplinary approach. The hospital has a team of specialist oncologists in various departments, like medical oncology, surgical oncology, and radiation oncology, along with a team of experienced clinicians, to treat patients with different kinds of cancer. This centre has a 16 slice PET-CT machine Discovery IQ from GE which enables effective cancer diagnostics. While the medical oncology department comprises of chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, targeted molecular therapy, Monoclonal antibodies, and maintenance therapy. HCG is the first cancer centre in Visakhapatnam to use the revolutionary FFF technology. The radiation department is equipped with state-of-the-art technology such as TrueBeam, with FFF (Flattening Free Filter), 3DCRT, IMRT, IGRT, IG-3DCRT, IG-IMRT. SBRT (Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy) and RapidArc are equipped to manage even the most complex cancers.
