Digestive Health Institute, Mumbai, was established in 2004 as the Centre for Obesity and Digestive Surgery. It was founded by Dr. Muffazal (Dr. Muffi) Lakdawala, a pioneer in scarless bariatric surgery. It is recognized as India's, and Asia's best center for GI surgeries performed laparoscopically and through Single Incision.
