Leader in Innovative Therapies: He pioneered the use of Anti-thymocyte globulin (ATG) therapy for aplastic anaemia in 2002, a protocol still successfully used, and established crucial therapies for acute promyelocytic leukaemia (APML) and haemophagocytic lymphohistiocytic syndrome (HLH), showcasing leadership in developing effective treatment strategies.
