His areas of specialisation are performing endoscopic skull base surgery, endoscopic sinus and orbital surgery, and treatment of snoring and sleep apnoea.
He did his MBBS from The T.N. Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai, India, in 2000. In 2004, he earned his DNB (Otorhinolaryngology) from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi.
In 2016, he pursued the FESS and Anterior Skull Base Surgery course in Leipzig, Germany.
In 2017, Dr. Vijay became a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons (FICS), Chicago, USA, and in 2019, completed an Advanced Skull Base Surgery course at the University of Barcelona, Spain.
He was awarded the Best Young ENT Surgeon Paper Award at the Uttarakhand State ENT Conference in 2013, First Prize in both Video and Poster presentations at the Delhi State ENT Conference in 2008, and Second Prize in Paper presentations at the Tamil Nadu State ENT Conference in 2001 and 2003.
Dr. Vijay is an active member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, the Skull Base Surgeons Society of India, the Indian Society of Otology, the Association of Otolaryngologists of India, the All India Rhinology Society, the Indian Academy of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the Indian Association of Surgeons for Sleep Apnea, and the Cochlear Implant Group of India.
