Dr. A Venkata Lakshmi is an eminent General Pediatrician and Neonatologist with over 28 years of experience.
Her areas of interest include extreme prematurity.
She has successfully treated many preterm babies and has attended to many complicated neonatal problems.
Her educational qualifications include an MBBS from the University of Madras in 1985, an MD in Pediatrics from Egmore Children's Hospital, Madras, and a DCH from Christian Medical College, Vellore.
Dr. Lakshmi completed her neonatology training at Westmead Hospital, Sydney, Australia, and received a fellowship in neonatology from St. Louis Children's Hospital, Washington University, St. Louis.
She was awarded several merit certificates and is also the winner of the Sommerville Prize in Surgery, the Captain Jai Singh Jadhav prize for best postgraduate student, and the best sportswoman of the college.
She is an active member of the Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI).
