Dr. U Vasudeva Rao is a General Surgeon, who has been practicing for the last 42 years.
He holds an expertise in Carotid Angioplasty, Endosurgery, organ transplant surgery, thyroid surgery, breast surgery and many more.
He has won a prize for a paper on VAC Therapy for Diabetic Foot Infection at International Conference at Seoul, South Korea.
Dr. Rao completed MBBS from University of Mysore in 1975 and MS in General Surgery from Kasturba Medical College in 1978.
He also did FRCS in General Surgery from University of Glasgow, United Kingdom in 1982.
At present, Dr. Rao is the Governing Council member and Hon. Treasurer of Association of Surgeons of India.
He is also the president elect of Surgical Society of Bangalore.
He has published several articles in various national and international journals on limb ischemia, lap ventral, hernia repair laser for varicose veins etc.
