About Dr. Dr. Rashmi Adiga
She is adept at managing general pediatric problems as well as complex pediatric neurological problems.
She has acquired skills in clinical experience in treating children with seizures, epilepsy/complex epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, cerebral palsy, movement disorders, developmental delay and complex physical disability, developmental coordination disorder, learning disability, autistic spectrum disorder, and specific learning difficulties.
During her stint in the UK, she conducted audit projects including the national Epilepsy 12 audit to improve the quality of clinical care for children with epilepsy.
She takes interest in teaching and has been a faculty for British Paediatric Neurology Association Paediatric Epilepsy Training (PET1) courses and Paediatric EEG basics for Paediatricians’ (PEBP) workshops.
Dr. Rashmi also served as “University of Cambridge Senior Clinical tutor” and played an important role behind the placement selection of Cambridge Medical students in pediatrics.
She was an educational supervisor for postgraduate trainees in Paediatrics.
The doctor is a member of Paediatric Neurology (subchapter of IAP) and International Child Neurology Association (ICNA) and an active member of Eastern Paediatric Epilepsy Network
She is interested in evidence-based clinical care and has written many local clinical guidelines and was also a Delphi Panellist for the RCPCH Stroke in Childhood Guidelines.
Moreover, she was the principal investigator for the ICISS (International Collaborative Infantile Spasms Study) trial at Kings Lynn and the paper following this trial “Safety and efficacy of hormonal treatment versus the hormonal treatment and vigabatrin for infantile spasms” have been published in The Lancet.
