He has had multiple fellowships for advanced spine training at Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Hospital(Oswestry), University Hospital (Cardiff), and Stanmore in the UK and Advanced trauma centre, Leipzig, Germany.
Dr. Varma is a Reviewer for the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, British and has multiple publications to his credit. He is also involved as part of the Spine Foundation, Mumbai in research and service-based spine health care services in Rural India (In association with ‘Search, Gadchiroli, and Central India).
The Doctor has performed around two thousand spine surgeries of various aetiologies including Degenerative spinal disorders, adult and paediatric (scoliosis and kyphosis) spinal deformities, Spinal infections and tumours,
