Dr. Rustom is a founder president of the Indian Society of Prenatal Diagnosis and Therapy, honorary medical director of the Family Planning Association of India and a member of the WHO Expert Panel of Female Sterilization.
He has designed Soonawala Intrauterine Contraceptive Device in 1963.
