Later, he pursued a DM (Oncology) from The Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute in 2010 and a DNB (Medical Oncology) from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, in 2011.
He earned a Gold Medal in medical oncology at Gujarat University, becoming a leading medical oncologist in Mumbai who also excelled academically.
Dr. Shaikh has published several papers, including works on chemotherapy in osteosarcoma and tumour markers in gynaecological malignancies.
He is a member of the European Society of Medical Oncology, the Indian Cooperative Oncology Network, the Indian Oncology Study Group, the Indian Medical Association and the Mumbai Hematology Group.
