Dr. J. S. Satyanarayana Murthy is an Interventional Cardiology having more than 30 years of expertise.
Services provided by him includes catheterising all varieties of complex congenital heart disease, percutaneous balloon dilatation for mitral, aortic and tricuspid valve stenosis, percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasties (PTCA), including PTCA in evolving acute myocardial infarction and PTCA with percutaneous cardiopulmonary support.and many more. Throughout his career, he has performed over 25,000 cardiac catheterization and interventional operations on his own.
He earned his MBBS from Kilpauk Medical College in Chennai in 1977, his MD from Stanley Medical College & Hospital in Chennai in 1981, and his DNB from the National Board Of Examination in 1987.
Dr. Murthy has extensive teaching experience, having taught the DM (Cardiology) programme at Sri Ramachandra Medical College & Research Institute since 1994. He is Vice-Chancellor and Professor of Cardiology at this institution. Between 1981 and 1987, he taught DNB (Medicine) students at the Railway Hospital in Perambut, and from 1987 to 1994, he taught DNB (Cardiology) students at the Railway Hospital in Perambut.
Dr. Murthy has a long list of publications, with over 100 papers and abstracts in peer-reviewed journals. 
He has earned numerous prizes and various honours from the medical community and society, as well as a number of distinguished fellowships.
Dr. J. S. Satyanarayana Murthy is fluent in English, Hindi and Tamil.
