Dr. Charu Khurana

Dr. Charu Khurana is a leading, highly-qualified and a skilled Ophthalmologist and an eye surgeon with +16 years of experience.
She holds professional memberships of the All India Opthalmological Society (AIOS) and Delhi Opthalmological Society. She has also held memberships of the, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) and the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ESCRS).
 Dr. Khurana completed her MBBS in 1999 from Lady Hardinge Medical College Delhi, and then did MS in 2004 and DNB in 2005 from the Maulana Azad Medical College and Guru Nanak Eye Centre, New Delhi respectively. In 2010, she completed her observership training program at the Edward Harkness Eye Institute, Columbia University, New York.
She is an experienced medical professional for cataract including femto-cataract and micro-incision cataract surgery as well as glaucoma surgery. Her scope of practice also includes performing various refractive surgery procedures including SMILE, iLasik, CV lasik, PRK, ICL, intra-corneal ring segments and corneal cross-linking for keratoconus treatments. 
Dr. Khurana spearheads the low-vision aid wing of the Centre for Sight Eye Hospital, Rohini, Delhi and offers guidance to patients with low-vision to pick-up the best aids to correct the same.
She is a highly acclaimed ophthalmologist with and one of the first recipients of the Fellowship of the All India Collegium of Ophthalmology and has won another award too. 
Dr. Khurana has performed research on pediatric cataract surgery technique modifications during her dissertation and published papers on her research findings. Her work on amblyopia therapy has been included in the official guidelines of All India Opthalmological Society. 
She has written textbook chapters, numerous other publications and has made national and international presentations on topics such as, emto-lasers, glaucoma, refractive surgery and low vision aids. 
Dr. Khurana is an editor of the Delhi Journal of Opthalmology and has been an instruction course evaluator for AIOS.
