Dr. Ashu Kumar Jain is a well-known Spine and Pain specialist, practicing successfully for more than 14 years.
He is skilled in managing chronic pain such as Low Back/Neck Pain, Sciatica, Slip Disc, Pelvic Pain ( females ) due to various aetiologies, Rheumatological diseases including Rheumatoid Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylosis, Knee Pain, Hip & Shoulder Pain, Chronic cancer pain, headache and other chronic-difficult pain syndromes like CRPS I & II, Phantom Limb Syndrome, Fibromyalgia and Trigeminal Neuralgia.
He pioneered the team that was responsible for setting up the Department of Pain Medicine in Artemis Health Institute.
Dr. Ashu is adept in using and managing the effects of different drugs including NSAIDS, Anti-Neuropathic Drugs, Narcotic Agents such as Morphine/ Fentanyl, DMARDS and Biological agents such as Leflunomide, Methotrexate, etanercept, infliximab, etc. through oral/I.M./I.V./subcutaneous/neuraxial, etc. modes of delivery.
Besides, in the Operation Theatre, he helps the other doctors with ‘Interventional Pain Management Procedures’ using C-Arm Fluoroscopic and Ultrasound guidance and using the basic interventions such as Lumbar Facet Joint, Transforaminal steroid injection, Median Branch injection, SIJ injection., peripheral joint injections such as knee/shoulder/hip injections, etc and advanced procedures such as Percutaneous Disc Decompressions (Cervical & Lumbar), Adhesiolysis procedures, Cervical/Thoracic- TLESIs & TFESIs, Facet & MBB/RFTC, DRG-RF/PRF, Percutaneous Vertebroplasty, High Cervical Chordotomies, Gasserian Ganglion RFTC/ neurolytic rhizolysis/ Balloon compression, etc.
He uses all kinds of Advanced Interventional Pain Management Procedures for Chronic pain such as Spinal Cord Stimulators, Intrathecal Implants, Selective Nerve root Ablation for Trigeminal Neuralgia, T2-T3 Sympathectomy (RF Ablation), etc. 
He is one of the few Interventional Pain Physicians who carry out Endoscopic Discectomy (Removal of Disc without any incision & Anaesthesia). 
He is the recipient of several awards.
The doctor has participated in conferences, CMEs and presented papers in them. 
He is a member of the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM), Indian Association for Study of Pain (ISSP) and International Association of Study of Pain (IASP), USA and an Executive member of IACTA (N.C.R).
